763! But I haven't had a credit card for too long. Finally got a real job less than 2 years ago and 2 non student credit cards within the last year/1.5 years. And now I've got the car loan going on.

Never missed a payment, don't overspend etc just low # of accounts/credit utilization/young credit history. I'd like to think I'm doing alright

Its debatable. Depends on the chick.

Basically its like this: I meet a girl, start dating, get serious. She has to wait a minimum of a year till I will move in with her. She has to wait a minimum of 4-5yr till I'll propose, then another 9-12mo engagement. And if she wants kids another 1.5-2yr wait.

So if a chick has an issue with any of that, then there is the door and don't let it hit ya where the good Lord split ya!

I don't understand who comes up with this stuff.

Edit: old thread is old
you have to understand the point of the credit score. It is the likelyhood of a creditor to earn money off of you if they loan you money. if you default, that is obviously by far the worst for a creditor, so that tanks your score.

If you pay off your loan early, that is actually BAD for the creditor since they don't earn the full interest they expected to. But even better than paying everything or paying nothing is the point where you have a steady income and pay bills on time but have just enough debt that sometimes you can't fully pay off all monthly bills and end up paying penalties and extra interest, but you aren't in so over your head that you will default, and you always make payments.
