its a "test model", its meant to be seen visually when its being "tested". just like when you see ads on MTA buses or sprinter vans.

customers who buy the FRS from us doesn't have too worry if someone romped on their car unlike other dealers because we've always had a dedicated test model. the reason for it was to break the color and the faux CF did a great job doing it.

have you seen a GT/FRS/BRZ with a roof like it? no. this was an exercise of what it could look like. i highly doubt they would come out with GT/FRS with a real CF roof, if anything they'll release a model with an aluminum roof down the line.

You are right, I havent seen anything like that yet. But I have seen a BRZ STI concept with a real CF top, it looked great.

lol... you guys... give the guy a break. He's doing this with the TESTER car for his dealership. At least he's not saying it's real CF and charging some poor sucker like $200 hahah... unless you guys are ;P (jk I know you're not).

P.s., it's vinyl... completely removable, and if it's used as a paint protectant, I don't consider it rice, because it's functional

ok... maybe i should've been more clear. have you seen a stock non concept or show car or v8 hybrid frs/gt/brz with carbon fiber style roof.

some of you take this way too seriously, not real, rice, F&F looking. who cares... its an exercise of what could be done, just like when we install the jdm headlights on our test model or do a staggered wheel and tire set-up.

i get what they're saying because i see the ricers with their race stickers and their slammed cars with coilovers when i'm at laguna, s.o.w. and buttonwillow but some don't understand the context of this car.

Years ago I would have hated, but now after seeing all the sap and bird crap damage on my roof I'd have no problem using a black wrap instead of 3M - same with the hood especially since it's AL. My dealer actually has a white TC with a wrapped hood (in white) that I thought looked pretty good.

This is the type of thing that has been frowned upon for years but now that someone is doing it to the FR-S/BRZ it's ok? It's crap, it's always been crap and it will always be crap. "But at least they're supporting our new car bla, bla, bla"...It's a dealership adding something on the car so they can mark up the price, period. It serves no purpose but to fatten the bottom line. I used to sell Toyotas theat had B15 Sentra spoilers added on to bas model Camrys so they could tack on another $400 gross.
How much is this $15 and 30 minutes worth of work add-on going to cost?

This thread is feeling a lot like the Cusco thread where someone got some Cusco parts. Not a week earlier was everyone shitting on Cusco aka "Crushco" for thier poor quality and JDM tax but as soon as a member put some of those parts on thier car all was good.

Sack up and call it how you see it.
