Had this happen to my old GS-R all the time. Basically, people don't want to deal with the drama or insurance headache so they just take off. Every parking lot, every street-side parking, it's a gamble. I was parked outside a donut shop once, staring at my car, when an older lady in a Camry pulled up to a parking space directly in front of my car and BAM hit it directly. It took me a few seconds to realize what really happened. I ran out there and confronted her. "It's not that bad, just a few scratches." she nervously quoted. I kind of smirked and retorted, "we'll see." Took down her info, got a quote from a body shop for bumper repair/repaint. $1600 later she wasn't so flippant. Maybe next time she'll pay more attention.

Wow. That suck. Uninsured in Georgia works very differently.

I actually have a FineVu CR-500HD, and had an auto shop hook up the dashcam to my car's battery so that I could use parking mode. It's a decent dashcam, but it was very expensive at the time when I bought it. There's tons of opinions at dashcamtalk.com.

There are also 2-channel dashcams, that have a front and rear camera, such as Blackvue's DR-550 and DR-650. I've thought about getting the DR-650. They're also coming out with dashcams that have huge screens, but I'd rather my dashcam be discrete and not noticeable.

just get another blackbox for rear.
2channel blackbox usually have good one at front but poor quality on back.
i am using Blackvue DR500 at front and running blackvue 350 at rear.
