This is not a 5W-30. For that matter, it's not a 7.5W-27 either since "27" is not a grade defined by the SAE J300 and I very seriously doubt the cold cranking viscosity was tested between -5C and -35C as defined in the ASTM D5293 cold cranking viscosity test.

I can't believe Blackstone is recommending to extend the interval. I don't think I've ever seen insolubles that high. Molakule in the bitog thread FTW (he's an oil blender)!

Original Quantum Blue thread:

Oh snap, I didn't realize CJ was banned from this forum.

Here's another bitog thread by CJ asking advice about which oil to run. I told him to check this forum.

Why didn't you just start the thread by saying that you found this uoa on-line, and it's not your car, but you wanted to share the information? You still could have added some detail without giving information about the particular oil.

Sooo what's the point of this thread, advise? If you were sharing another viable oil you wouldn't of blured it out then tried to hide what it was.
You should keep running it for abother 30K at least, the car emmiting smoke and metal is good and helps with the 14 year old ladies.

I was banned from bitog for using Sustina. This punk cjsquirrely gets to post there about his Quantum Physics brand motor oil 2.75W 33.333 grade.

(Let's see if Rocket defends him.)

Rocket, you are so busted. You even post in the same voice as cjsquirrely.

bitog is dynamite. You get MolaKule, who invented motor oil. You get cjsquirrely.

There was once a thread where Dyson explained the procedure for wiping off your ATF dipstick, when checking your fluid level. I think Mercedes Benz has a part number for the correct rag to use, to avoid having shards of thread from an incorrect rag damage the transmission.

Sure do wish I could post my latest power steering fluid change.

Ok, not that I'm trying to be an asshat and get things back on topic (PS, prom night), but I am considering a change in oil since I am in AZ and it's hotter than the god damn sun outside. I was considering a change to Royal Purple, but does anyone else have any suggestions? Let's call me stock because I don't have any mods that matter to engine aside from an intake which won't matter for oil.

I'd like information on a synthetic and a good weight non-synthetic. (Currently running whatever the dealer has because it was my last service)
