Eh...you can get a little neoprene cover on ebay or any number of sites, I've also seen leather ones and velour...you slip it on when it's hottest out...search "shift knob" AND sock. I've been looking at the TWM M1 but I like the WC Lathewerks too.

There's a shift knob thread somewhere with a pretty good selection. I myself see nothing wrong wight the factory knob...

There is nothing wrong with the factory shift knob and it's the same for almost everything on the car. It just comes down to preferences and in this case, some prefer to use a shift knob with a different weight/shape.
