Mine has the spoiler and requires a bit of force. last couple of times it won't latch closed. Had to lock and play with it with a pen a few times to get it to lock again. Think something it wrong with the latch. I will ask the dealer to fix it during the service.

Anyone have such an issue? Seems weird the trunk won't lock, but it's fine when I play with the lock myself and the trunk is still open.

Maybe give it a shot of silicone spray (or WD-40) ….. to loosen up the mechanism.

Don't have this problem, if you slam your trunk shut all the way from the top I would assume you knocked the striker plate out of alignment with the latch. had this problem with my civic, had to adjust the striker plate. Your trunk should still close with just an inch of room to close it.
