One other thing...
I know we are talking mainly cars... But a low compression V-Twin sounds great with big bore pipes (think H-D) [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ES0QjZSYanw"]Harley Davidson Sound - YouTube[/ame] High compression V-Twin sounds like sex (think Ducati or the RC51 ) [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QlVqdk3VqyI"]MV Agusta Brutale 800 sound (Full HD) - YouTube[/ame] The inline 3 of Triumph has to have one of the most unique sounding motors I have ever heard... I voted boxer six. They are the best all around engine in my opinion. However, V10's always seem to sound the best and V12's are insane.
