Why is everyone so rabid to make everything unequal length? Will someone please make equal length?

Maybe you're looking for something like this?

Obviously to see the biggest gains, a tune is required.

Really looks like a solid product! Great work
If you consider a check engine light and the fueling switching to limp mode 'totally fine', I guess so... O2 spacer didn't work for me. MASSIVE difference with a tune, though. The car runs worlds better than stock.

They actually don't look too bad, considering it wasn't done by a machine (and you don't need to pass QC-7 certification to weld up and exhaust). The fact that they're not flat gray shows the person doing the welding kept the stainless the proper temperature while welding. My only critique is that they made so many short 1" welds and some look a tad concave. Could have probably dialed the pedal down or used pulse to control the heat. This IS a prototype, though, so final quality is TBD...

In a perfect world, they'd also cap off the ends and use backing gas to ensure the backside of the welds aren't oxidized. If you overheat the stainless or don't have gas coverage while welding, it instantly oxidizes and cooks off the stainless elements in the alloy (often nickel and/or chromium).

Sounds like you had other issues. Ive been running my car with the Revworks UEL for 3 months without issue. The 02 sensor reads that my CAT efficiency is bad, but it sure as hell did not go into limp mode.

Nope, the O2 sensors just detected that the cat was missing and the O2 didn't look right, so it threw a CEL and put the car into limp mode (CEL lit, no cruise, RICH fueling, soft throttle response). Can't remember the codes off the top of my head.

All is well after Drift-Office tuning. It seems like there is a 50/50 split of people who get no CEL with catless headers and others who do. Considering the added flow of the catless header, it'll be interesting to see how this catted UEL headers compares.

I personally won't run headers without a tune...not only is there possible fueling issues but most of the power comes from the tune.

Not a fan of catted or weld quality.

We'll see what kind of numbers can be had and if the production version has good welds.

Good luck. Nice to see more options.

Don't kid yourself that any catted header is going to make the same power as un-catted. There are many reasons to choose one over the other but the reasons aren't the same. It's almost apples to oranges.

Not even close! There are far more people happily running the Borla UEL than there are trolls complaining about it. It just doesn't appear that way on this forum because the Borla hating trolls post far more often.

I'm also running Borla UEL's with no tune and I have zero issues, just very loud as well.

You should always tune a car with a performance header. A stock tuned car doesn't really know how to adjust properly to the flow change with just a spacer. Rather than attempting to trick the ECU, which doesn't work 100% of the time, get it tuned and eliminate the risk from the start. You'll be much happier you went that route.

The right runner doesn't look very short either. Do you guys expect a mild boxer rumble vs the other UEL's due to that?

Please dyno the car with a stock exhaust and a tune. I think this will show the best "bang for your buck" results in terms of dollars as the catback exhaust gains are relatively minor compared to the gains from a header and the associated tune.
