Can I ask what options you are looking at that would run you $1,500? James' tune updates for an existing FI car to flex fuel is $200 if I'm not mistaken...ID1050xs are $520....flex fuel kits are in the $600 range if you are buying brand new with a gauge. They pop up all of the time for $350 to $400 used. I pieced mine together for less than that. Fuel pump is not needed unless you really are looking to push that 5431.

Granted...this is not considering taxes and shipping costs. And $1,320 is pretty much $1,500. But, if you are thrifty and keep an eye out you can flirt around with a thousand dollar flex fuel setup. I did it.
