I am planning on going to pick up the GF if she isn't with me, then driving from San Jose to Santa Cruz via the 17... I am sure some of you know that drive. I will probably be listening to some heavy dubstep (don't hate!). Get some dinner out in Santa Cruz... park my car where I can see it while I eat lol. Then drive back to San Jose and push it just a little bit. GF will probably be scared the whole time haha.

The 17 is so traffic heavy though, I hate driving on that road because there are all these speeding SUVs that look like they're about to roll over.

What is the first thing I am going to do to my BRZ besides break-in, tints, and strong consideration of getting a clear-bra?

Deactivating the Event Data Recorder.

Lol I'm surprised how many people are doing clear bras when people are so uptight on the price of the car. I'm still not sold on them considering the good stuff with a good installer is gonna be almost 1k. The instant you put it on your paint won't match the rest of the car, and it really looks like crap if you only do half the hood. Then you need a professional to take it off or else you're left with tons of sticky residue. I realize the car is low and is susceptible to more rock chips than your average car, but I'm just gonna take my chances. If the bumper needs to be repainted in 5 years or so, I'd rather just do that instead.

I'm just going to spend the whole rest of the day driving it around all of my favorite local roads...under 4k the whole time unfortunately

Overly paranoid? Yes. Blame it in a past experience...granted manufacturing processes and tolerances have changed from decades ago, I figure it's only a ~$30 waste for some peace of mind. I don't mind throwing some money that way for peace of mind.

You might as well do it before you even leave the lot. You know, being all paranoid from past experiences.

I would leave the oil in the car until the scheduled service is due. What happened in your case?

You better also figure on stealing some 0w-20 for that price.
