Agreed. I'm thinking that maybe some of the roads up toward Aurora/Newmarket would be nice, but it seems the GTA doesn't have many twisty roads.
Maybe going up north on Leslie/Bayview would be nice

I think the worry is that the car will be best enjoyed on glass-smooth pavement.
Toronto has roads which are marked and scarred by road salt, snow plows, ridges and cracks, potholes, etc.

I once accidentally induced lift-throttle oversteer in my old MkIV Jetta on a street with cracks. That warped my rear discs pretty bad (a $600 repair).

Would not want that happening to a car like this.

I don't understand why you even say that, apart from giving you the opportunity to answer your own question :-s

Yes Toyota says you can throw track tires in there, but I think they also said you can get a couple sets of golf clubs comfortably in there. They have always talked down bench mark numbers and emphasized the fun of it... never its laptimes.

Don't say that... :S. Here, in the province of Quebec, we find the streets of Ontario sooo good. Our streets are made of cookies and milk, so you can imagine how afraid I am of your comment.

To all the Toronto-area guys, if you're willing to spend 1.5 - 2hrs to get there, some of the roads up in the Muskokas are amazing and the views are spectacular, especially during the fall season when the leaves have turned colour.

For the price of a tank of gas, you can enjoy a day of pure driving enjoyment, and you don't even have to break any traffic laws to achieve it. In particular, there's a stretch of Hwy 518 east of Orrville about 10km in length with a posted speed limit of 80km/h, but it's so twisty that you'll be hanging on even at 85km/h in a typical car. And that road has been practically vacant every time I've visited. I suspect the FR-S/BRZ will handle these turns with ease.

To a lesser extent, if you detour via Dunnville when going to Niagara, the regional highways are pretty alright too.

Unfortunately, we have to drive a fair bit first to get to some of these roads from our neck of the woods.

PM me if you're looking for or willing to offer suggestions.
