My wife understands and helps whenever she can. We spent the entire fourth of July weekend working on the car - replaced all the lights with LEDs, blacked out the reflectors in the front four lights and the rears, and added the OEM splash guards.

It is about compromise and understanding - relationships are about working together for both your benefit. I hate that advertisement, it shows the worst in people - selfishness all around. I cannot imagine making a purchase that large without talking to my wife, and I cant imagine that she would keep me from it unless it were completely out of the realm of possibility. If you cant understand what I mean, then you might want to think about your relationship and possibly even your definition of love, imho.

This exactly. She makes fun of me and doesnt understand it but she knows its important to me. She pretty much handles all our finances and it has come to a point where she tells me how much this month we can allocate to car parts :P

My girlfriend encouraged me to buy my FR-S and even helped haggle my interest rate down as well as my payments. <3

Sometimes she's a bit jealous though. :P

That would be a waste of money. What would a car do with flowers and chocolate?

Exactly. My wife and I enjoy the FRS together. She helps me wash it, put mods on, and even is learning how to drive a stick in it. Its a partnership for me. She married into a guy who loves cars, and she wants to be a part of it.

I am starting to get a better understanding why females are so limited at FR-S/BRZ meets and gatherings...

They get no love and attention - lol

I married my dream girl. Settled on the car. Personally I'd rather be driving an Aston Martin DBS...

Edit: I mean I'd rather be driving the DBS than an FR-S, not my wife. :P

I'm in the same boat. I support her hobbies and she supports mine. Added bonus is mine actually loves driving and participating in AutoX/HPDE.
