These cars will be perfect daily drivers! Don't let some of the hardcore buyers confuse the situation. Their intentions are different because they plan on modifying their cars and using them as pleasure-only vehicles. There's no wrong way to enjoy a BRZ/FRS. : )

to add on to what everyone's saying, you will olso need a small/medium sized shovel, and a bag of grit, because any car that goes out in snow, has potential to get stuck, the above mentioned items just help just incase you do get stuck

Well it rarely gets so bad that you actually some of those things, here in Oklahoma (at least Tulsa area) but I will be adding those things to my winter list

better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it

Precisely. The Blanket and Energy Bars are often overlooked. Chances are, if you stuff your car in the winter and can't get unstuck, lots of other people have also. So tow companies will be overloaded, making it likely you'll have to wait hours for rescue. Having blankets to keep warm and carbs to keep body temps up are important then. Cars do not hold heat for very long if the engine isn't running.

That right there is the best advice. Target fixation is a natural tendency, be careful...

Thanks guys. This is all great advice. I feel more confident in my choice to buy a brz and hopefully I cam get the approval of my mom too. Yes, I want that approval. She bought my first car for me so I think it's fair for her to approve of me selling it

Note: all info I've seen states this car comes with summer tires. Not sure if all seasons will be an option for people in other areas - otherwise know if you plan to use this car year round as your DD, and temps drop below 39 (?) degrees, you'll need a second set of tires (most likely on a 2nd set of rims to make it easier on you) with proper winter tires.

all-season tires = crappy in all seasons. If you want to drive the BRZ in the winter you will definitely want dedicated snow tires. The difference between all seasons and real snow tires in the snow is night and day.

Would you recommend getting bigger tires then? Maybe 225/17 instead of the stock 215/17? Or doesn't matter?
