That could've taken weeks to months for that.
Glad you're ok man, keep us updated on what happens.

Driver side door too. Those 5 star safety things don't lie eh? You could have easily got way worst injured.

Gratz on walking away from that!

It's been almost three weeks now. I've been calling my insurance back and forth to make them speed things up. The first adjuster I met looked at the car and said that it would likely be totaled (took 2 weeks for them to send an adjuster). The car was taken apart at a dealer collision center to see further damage. There was damage in the inner fenderwell when the suspension banged on it and also a dent from the engine and engine bay making contact. Another adjuster did the supplement yesterday and quoted 5000 dollars of parts and 3000 for labor so 8000 total (Total bullshit that is.) I have yet to talk with him, but I am going to raise hell. My car was BRAND new before the accident, haven't even owned it for 2 months. I only made one payment. I'm not gonna be stuck paying NEW car prices for a car that is NOT new. 59 more payments for a car that is now probably worth 20k. NOPE. Gonna tell the insurance to just buy the car off me ($25,900), repair it, and resell it. They may do this because they are reluctant to "total" the car and have it on a salvaged title. At least I think a car gets a salvaged title when ruled as Totaled Loss. With repairs, I think it's still considered a "clear" blue title. Anyways, they can buy it off of me, fix it, resell it for 20k (or more), and save themselves $2000+. I have GAP insurance anyways, so it works out for both me and the insurance company. The only justice I can see is replacing the NEW car with a NEW car. Not a repaired piece of shit.

...whew. Sorry, had to rant. But you better believe that I will be picking up a brand new Firestorm FRS this month.

Everytime I saw posts about the curse, I always brushed it off thinking that it was just plain bad luck for some people. But man... I guess there is a curse. Hopefully the insurance totals the car and doesn't try to repair it. The damage is to the fender, door, wheel, suspension, and possibly more behind the sheet metal. The side curtain and seat airbags also deployed. What do you guys think? Totaled?
Any actual frame damage? Might be hard to ever resell it.

It was on the IIHS top safety pick kudos to toybaru

Might not be that bad, not sure about the safety rating, but civic's are notoriously safe vehicles.
