You might be disappointed if you hope to get a limited for under $26k. Sorry but that is the premium price range.

Too High, I'm out Price: $30K is going to be tough to rationalize
Other Cars you are "Cross Shopping": If the BRZ pricing is too-high, I'll still consider the FR-S. 2nd alternative is the current Miata PRHT, or just keep my TDI. Another idea is to find a clean 1st gen Honda Insight 5mt and go nuts and also order a Morgan 3 Wheeler.

Other cars I am cross shopping: Really want to just pick up one of these, but if its too much, I've been looking at the vw gti (pretty nice little fwd might stick a stage 1 on it for a little more ooph), subaru wrx, used nissan 350z, 2013 genesis coupe (even though the front is kinda ugly), FR-S of course, suzuki kizashi if they ever turbo the thing.
