You're good we used the new revision to do your dyno time to start with. I can implement the transition management part but you may want to wait until you get to cali and we have it refined a bit further. I would change the timing for the 91 octane though.

Ok Thanks, Yea I'll just wait until then. I'll probably want the 91octane timing changes plus the E40/50 & E85 maps.

Got my tune done yesterday, and am happy to report that the "simulated turbo lag feature" that comes stock on the twins is GONE. I switched back to the base map briefly to make sure the butt dyno wasn't lying, and could feel the difference right away. With stock map, there is a large surge of power right after you pass 4500 rpms. With the 93 octane tune, it pulls smoothly and strongly all the way through. Car seems to idle much smoother as well, though that could be due to the version update and not necessarily the tune.

It's the tune. The feedback we had from the first few months was an unsteady idle especially when map switching. Thinking it was the tune I buried my head in it for a few weeks only then to find that stock cars do it too after flashing to stock....

So we fixed it. Enjoy Otherwise thanks for the feedback! It will vary with temps since we want to keep safety margin intact but the "dip" should be greatly reduced and no longer as intrusive. Do send datalogs when you have time. We did a prototype CAI and it wadded things up big time; took about 5 flashes to get it spot on with pump and e85 despite the identical MAF size. Go figure...

Would you expect the same tuning issues to arise with the Vigilant CAI that I'm running or do you think it would be close to "right" with your prototype CAI tune? I believe my intake features identical MAF size to stock as well.

Hard to say without seeing logs. The Perrin one didn't need such changes but it depends on the piping and how far from the TB and bend the MAF is placed. The stock airbox has straighteners right in front of the MAF so any tube type will change the curve shape.

RR5 includes better e85/flex fuel control, a different way of controlling autoblip, and some bug fixes. We've been using it for a while and the beta before that, I don't think anyone is on the old V3/V4 from our end.

So you are saying I'm already using RR5 version? Cool.

I'm curious about auto-blip control and exactly what type of customizability you have with it.

To try my best to explain clearly:
I notice the the actual 'blip' is too aggressive when activated close to the minimum RPM threshold (i.e.- when blipping between 2500-3000): it revs far beyond the accurate matching RPM. When blipping during aggressive driving (near the top of the rev range), the blip is 'well tuned' and does a relatively good job at matching RPM for the next lower gear.

Is the tuning of auto-blip RPM dependent/customizable?
