I know I am digging up an old thread. Just wanted to show how mine is set up. It's the same Rocketfish holder as shown above.

ProClip for iPhone 5. The wire is now hidden - charge / iPod connectivity to the HU. Works with most cases.

+1 for Mountek CD player mount. Obstructs view of the nav a bit with the phone in, especially with charger plugged in, but does not block access to any of the on-screen buttons

I have this on my car and it is seriously the best thing ever, not having to fiddle with a mount to get the phone on, you just literally stick the phone onto the ball and you're done!

How has this worked out, can I get a few pictures from different angles? The only mount option I saw was to the right of the stereo, how did you mount yours where it's at?

It's called the Kenu Airframe that I picked up at the Apple Store and it works great with my i5 with case but should work with other smartphones too. You mount it into your a/c vents, and it's spring loaded, keeping the phone held sturdily.

One bonus is that it can act as a kickstand when not mounted in my car. Check it out!

How much does this rattle, is it nice and snug?

I have one of these and like it a lot. A word of warning though. I think the spring action is strong enough to crack the glass on some phones. I think it contributed to the small crack on and s3 I borrowed from work.

My phone stays in my pocket when I'm driving, as it should. A distraction like a mounted phone could and does cause collisions every minute of every day in America. As a first responder I see it daily. The law needs to change and likely will. Many people can't drive safely and talk to a passenger at the same time. Everybody drives and texts now! It has gotten much too dangerous. End rant.
