IF you lease the FR-S for 3-4 year, Buy it out, the used car value will be more than the buyout. At the very least you will get even and had a shot at it.
My lease is for 4 years and the buyout under 14 000$. A 4 year old FR-S will go for over 14 000$ easily used, as you said they are over 30 000$ with taxes and all.

I think these will hold their value very well. They are hard to come by now, and not a high production car anyways. Toyota's do hold value well, I think they will not be unlike S2000's in their used prices.
I'm still no closer to figuring out if this is a good deal or not. The lease is less important as is the buyout, I have no desire to rent a car for 2.5 years to only give it back and be left with nothing. |

Last question before I drop this lease Idea.
I've read somewhere there's an option to buy out your lease early. Would that, and possibly a cheaper lending rate from my bank turn this into a finance from a lease? |

You should decide if you like the car and if your are going to keep it long or forever if you are buy it new, if its just a car for transportation take over the lease cause you could probably sell the car for no loss of money or a slight gain in a couple years and just pay out the lease

Usually it's 2 months before max, that you can pull out from your lease and buy it out, etc. Otherwise if you wanted to pull out 3 months - xx months early a penalty applies.
