Go to Pepboys, they should have helmets you can check out. I know the Pepboys near me does, but I'm in Jersey. lol

This sounds like something I'll be interested in. I am a complete novice with NO experience on the track. Just got my BRZ last week. I'll have to see if I can take off work, since it's a 6 hour drive for me.

You are an ideal candidate, we are shooting for this to be super novice oriented and really get folks interested in a positive track experience as we have had for the past 10+ years of doing this. Often times novices get lost in the fray of a big HPDE event, so we want to make this their event to get their feet wet!

Starting to fill up! Remember you don't need any special safety equipment or performance equipment (I just did a track day with my all season tires last week at Thunderbolt) other than an Snell M2005 Helmet!

For everyone that's registered, are you guys from around the area? I am thinking about driving there the night before and finding an Inn or something to stay at. Any hotels you recommend or do NOT recommend?

We will be heading down the night before. Probably stay at the Fairfield inn and do a pre event meet/dinner as well.

Is this closed to FR-S/BRZs? I am thinking about asking a couple of friends to see if they're interested, too.

there is enough time before this event that you can order one online.

if anyone is in central jersey, the store CYLCE GEAR in edison has helmets that are affordable.

if anything, not everyone will be running at once you might be able to share a helmet, but i wouldn't rely on that.

also if you're not registered, come down and hang for the day.
there is no fee to get into NJMP the parking lot is big enough for really any amount of cars. if you're not racing can atleast soak up some knowledge and hang out. this is also a sort of "meet"

Nope, we are taking any novices and advanced folks who want to learn more about driving on track. Everything from wild to mild. We will likely have some Mentors driving Porsche and BMW race cars and welcome all makes and models.
