If you can't get along with the other children in the sandbox, don't defecate in it.
It's perfectly okay to point out the Twins' flaws or shortcomings, but don't start bashing them or the owners and then act surprised when you end up banned. Show some respect. |

Well, I did cap it off with "I'm stupid" just to balance things out.
I'd like to drive it off a cliff! Thing is fast becoming a money pit. BRZ needs to get here already!!

First off let me say that I love the community here. It's a great place to share ideas and opinions.
I had an interesting thing happen to me the other night while driving my FR-S home from a movie with my 8 year old son in the back seat. We were passed in a posted 60km zone by a "dark" sports car in the center median going what i would estimate to be in excess of 100 km/h. There was oncoming traffic at the time and I quickly pulled off to the side thinking this was going to end in horrific tragedy. The car in question proceeded to lock up the brakes and spin around to head back in the direction it came from....at the same high rate of speed in the same dare i say "reckless" manner. But wait, it gets even better. Following this incident I continue on my way home driving at the old man rate of 82 in a posted 80 km/h zone. When I was turning onto the side road i need to take to get home I noticed a rather large SUV that was behind me actually go through the lights and make a U turn to follow me. I mean he had driven past my side road and actually came back. So i assume he was also whitness to the crazy driver that passed on the median. So I pull over thinking he wants to share info on the event (I live in a very small community, so this isn't as strange as it may read). It wasn't until well into the conversation that i realised what was actually happening. The short version is this good samaritan turned around and followed me all the way home thinking that I WAS THE IDIOT IN THE MEDIAN. Which brings me to the point of my post. Just because I drive a little black sports car, doesn't mean I drive it to the point where lives are endangered on public roads. And to those of you that think that kind of behaviour is acceptable on public roads I ask you to think of people like my 8 year old son in the back seat. If you want to drive like you're on a track....then do it....ON A TRACK.

I cant believe this thread has survived this long. Most other car forums a half dozen people would have been banned and this would be locked already. haha.
On topic I just want to say my only soapbox speech for this car who cares if it has a damn scion badge. If you want all those other things like HIDs and push button by a BRZ, a 10 series, or go aftermarket. Dont complain your scion didn't come with it and enjoy your damn car. |

And if you hate Scion so much, just redbadge it or buy a Subaru. And if you hate Subaru...well, buy another small, new, lightweight, sub-$30k rwd sports car. Oh wait, they don't exist as new cars in the current market. Moral of the story: suck it up and realize that you are in the minority and the rest of us don't care. |

I like turtles.
This thread..... Is dumb. Sorry. Can't really put it otherwise. I want my two clicks back. Oh, wear your seat belt at all times, use your turn signals, drifting is a no-no, remember to do only the posted speed limit unless you're on a track, Track days/HPDE's are the only way to enjoy your car, forget about an open, winding back road. Drive like a robot and keep all nannies on at all times, it's what's best for you. Don't forget to drink your Ovaltine. -________- Be safe when it's necessary, have fun when you won't endanger people. Just don't drive like some fanboy adolescent ****head and put anyone in harms way. You wanna drive into a tree? Go for it. Survival of the fittest and Darwinism at it's finest. |
