What would be the best offset for performance do you guys think? Why do people want ridiculously big wheels like 18s or 19s? Aren't 17s usually preferred as a mix of looks and performance?

they do 18x7.5s only though at 17.4lbs they aren't the lightest though, Advan RS in the same size is 16.5lbs and TE37s at 17lbs

I wonder how much the stock rims and tires weigh. I know the stock genesis coupe rims weighed a heafty 25lb..goddamn.

The 18 or 19 ? (They offer a 19 I believe)

On my BMW I have factory 18" wheel w/ runflats (staggered tires) to 19X10 and 19X8.5 wheels (w/o run flats) and they are lighter. It's all about process/manuf.

I hope these will fit on an FRS *w* Volks GTS in gun metal I always liked classic 5 spokes. I don't my old 16 Work CR Kai will fit on the FRS ;/

and im hmm so so with the oem I wished the FRS/BRZ came in a Platinum color, the Dark grey is too dark for my taste haha

The offset you need is specifically related to the width of the wheel and the suspension design. Most RWD cars these days use high offset, so they can get the length they need on the suspension arms without intruding into trunk and engine bay space.

The JZA80 Supra used +50mm offset, the IS F rear wheels are +55mm offset.

As for low/negative offset, again it depends on the car. Old Supras used +8mm offset from the factory, and most older RWD cars are typically in the -10 to +10mm offset range, often 0mm is common as well, but it's going to depend so much on how wide the wheels are and where the hub sits in relation to the wheel well.
