Not really looking to get into business, but if you tell me the dimensions you want I'll do a test print to see how it comes out.

"I de-baged mine already. And was at the office and wanted to buy Toyota badges....

I am home now and just measured the old scion badges.

Front: 4 and 3/8 inches x 3 inches

Rear: 4 and 1/8 inches x 2 and 6/8 inches

Used a ruler - not 100% accurate, but 99% accurate."

But the 86 being a circle, id say just make them to match the smaller dimensions while retaining the circle shape so.. Just two at 2 and 6/8 should work just fine

86 Badge

Okay played around with my design to make it work better as a badge. Changed the taper, and crowned the top.

Here it is printed at 0.1mm layer resolution. I've cleaned it by giving the top a quick sanding to remove ridges left from the build process.

This is a 3" diameter. Next to my BRZ badge for a sense of scale

Hmm. I really like that, but the circle peg in an oval hole might not look right. How much for 2?

I agree a circle in an oval spot probably is not going to look great. It might work on an FR-S bumper if it was just the right size since it's badge indent is more open ended. It certainly doesn't work on the BRZ bumper.

Honestly I'm just playing around with this, not looking to get into business. I would probably have to charge more then people are willing to pay to make it worth while.

Just out of curiosity though how much do people think they would be worth for a set? Keeping in mind that they require some finish sanding, and probably some sort of painting (PlastiDip?) which I'm really not getting into.

Id be willing to pay 50$ for the set as circles, if you were able to do a perfect matching oval w the round 86 inside of, possible more.

Turn the busy up to 11. That would be 1 more busy! How durable are these parts? I'f I wanted to use this build custom a-arms, skid plates and other RC related parts, would they hold up or is the material too brittle for that?

That depends on many factors.

-They type of plastic used (PLA or ABS)
-They accuracy of the 3D printer used
-The the software used and its ability to control the build process (wall thickness, fill %)

They won't be as strong as injection molded parts but can still be very strong especially if you take certain factors into account in your part design. There are some major advantages when it somes to lightweight parts because you can create hollow structures that are impossible to achieve any other way.

I got my Asphalt yesterday, so today I was working on the piston rendering. Well I found out that the arc of the piston area is the same as the arc of the outer 86 ring (the ring that is connected to the pistons).
