Trust me I'm not hiding the car from bad drivers. Have a little over 10,000 miles to prove it. It's just a car yes but I would prefer it staying shiny. Thanks for all the feedback everyone.

Sorry to hear that man. My only gripe is you should have still called the cops. Don't ever let anyone tell you what to do with your car.

Her insurance company has still been unable to contact her to get her side of the story. My insurance asked if the car wash has a security camera. Sure enough they do and I watched the footage today. Pretty entertaining. My car is just begin the edge but you can see her back up stop back up then bam. Then me get out and stand next to her window with my arms in the air saying wtf. Lol

i hear ya! basically all i'm sayin' is if shit like this happens,it can be very frustrating, however you are doing what you need to do to make it right.my point is,it's STILL a car,and sometimes ,no matter WHAT ya do,you can't ''control" all situations you find yourself in, ie: what "other" drivers do! that said,KNOWING you can make it right, will lessen the anxiety over owning a nice car,BUT in the final analysis,it's STILL just a "transportation device",and as such, has limited importance in the grand scheme of life!..just sayin' good luck with getting it ''right" again!

there's a doctor here in town that daily drives his Ferrari 612. every time I see him I cringe. I'd cry if I saw that car get hit, but I would probably drive it every day too if I could afford one!

If being a bad driver was a crime, there wouldn't be enough cops, prisons of money to pay to feed them.

Yeah dude. I got door dinged the second week I had my FR-S. It must have been at 7/11 while I was picking up ice. It was probably some little kid getting out of his moms car, and he probably didn't even care. I really want to get it popped out and get some touch up paint on it. I was so disappointed. It was the one time I didn't park way out in the north forty where I needed to pack a lunch to walk to my destination without starving. (okay, maybe a little exaggerated.)

ALWAYS call the cops and report it. Private property or not, most states require damage over a certain amount to be reported. I think in Utah it is anything over $800. A police report still helps your cause though regardless. I bet you jump through hoops on this if not.
