Seriously though... there was a netflix docu show about the Canadian border crossing and after watching that i'd be 100% confident you won't have any issues.

Meh, too much time and effort just to save a few hundred dollars. I also wasn't looking at an exhaust just yet, this sale just had me jaded.

I agree, this kind of sale doesn't come along very often. Got me to act on the wheels, but I'd been on the fence with those for 6 months.
I also considered the exhaust as $600 is a pretty good deal, but ultimately I like the perrin 2.5" resonated better. It actually sounds more like a sporty stock exhaust to me than the TRD one. I test drove an 86 with the TRD exhaust when I was shopping for my car and wasn't impressed.

I’m looking at getting the TRD exhaust, however, I go over 8-9 “smallish” speed bumps a day.

Anyone lowered on TRD springs (or lower) have scraping issues on the bend around the rear diff. with their TRD exhaust?

Every
Single
Day

I come off a small rise at my local coffee shop drive through and hear "tink" every morning. Doesn't matter how slow I go or what angle I take it at it just touch's. I haven't had much issue with speed bumps so there is just something about the make up of the lump. No real damage although you can tell it hits because that spot is nice and clean. I wouldn't worry about it really.

Unfortunate. I was low key hoping you’d respond since I recall seeing a screenshot you had taken of that particular bend.

Looks like I’ll most likely wait until I move out of my current complex.

lol I get that. I literally saw it and said to my self "you don't need TRD springs this summer" about three times.

The TRD is just a axleback right?
You could have that puppy installed in 45 minutes across the border. then do whatever you want with the factory axleback.

TRD is a catback.

You do NEED the TRD springs and the sway bars. I drove mine 300 miles before putting them on and that was too long.

I have TRD Springs and Exhaust and have never noticed any scraping.

Sweet - the guys at Limbaugh Toyota in Birmingham will ship the exhaust to me. Freight's less than 40 bucks!

He says it's now on backorder so it'll be a couple weeks, but that's too good a deal to pass up.

It is fine. Like I said it is one particular spot and it hardly touches. don't recall bouncing that part off any speed bumps. The front and the middle of the car yes. The rear not so much.

I'm tempted to buy the TRD brake pads. I don't need them now, but just to have them around for when the OEMs finally wear out. I don't track or autocross, so I think they would be OK from searching the forum. $42 x 2 = $84 (+ $14 for shipping) for a full set instead of $70 x 2 = $140. Or are they just still not worth it?

Yep, saw it this morning and ordered front and rear TRD pads since I needed to do pads anyways. Also bought the TRD lowering springs because fuck it why not.
