Sorry, but if they aren't increasing the hp,by whatever means they deem fit,I just don't see how it's worth it.Hell,a 25 hp increase would probably be enough to satisfy a lot of people, but just throwing on extra insignificant pieces for an extra $6k,is borderline insulting.

To be honest, I bet if you bought a used 2017 86 and tried to buy all the TRD parts that came with this special edition it would end up being MORE expensive.

I enjoy reading members complaining bout lack of hp. Even they add 20~40 more hp (lets say FA24 NA), you know ppl will say "Still lack power.", "Why no turbo?", "It lack tq, they should of put v6." & so on. It doesn't matter how much power 86/BRZ get, there will be ppl who won't buy this car, complaining lack of power. Simply can't win em all.

Back on topic, I'm not gonna complain for having another limited edi. More limited edi and stuff we get, we have more goodies for us to make unique, one of kind 86/BRZ

And then I'll feel bad for ordering TRD sideskirts from Japan 2 weeks ago because next year they'll be available in the US for cheaper

Yeah, if you bought them all new from the dealer. Though I'm not sure if you can. For older special editions, you needed a VIN to order parts.

If you waited a while and got parts used market you could get them for much less.

This TRD version will be limited so there will only be so many used examples to buy down the road. Even used you're looking at buying wheels, brembo brakes, revised struts, replacement seats, steering wheel, body kit, etc. Then you have to account for time spent installing the parts or the cost of having someone install them.

The TRD version is only $3,800 more than a run of the mill 86 GT. That's not a bad price for all that you get IMO. Plus you don't have to deal with a huge ricey wing.

Now that the Miata has 180hp that will be difficult.

Are there pictures out yet? Three piece spoiler is indicated, so maybe it is similar to the tS?

The RS 1.0 also had a 3 piece spoiler and it's almost the size of a regular 86 wing. I doubt it is going to have a shopping cart sized wing like the tS.

I wouldn't be surprised if it's very similar to this

It already is faster, technically. The only thing that I've seen in just about every video that the 86 needs to be faster around a road course is wider and lighter wheels. While it's fun to get sideways whenever you want, the stock 215s suck if you are trying to go as fast as possible around a track.

Right now it's pretty much a driver's race. The MY19 miata is getting roughly 20% more power so it should have the clear advantage.
