Yeah, I was just estimating. Is it accurate? No. Is it something to show approximate scale of the change? Yes.

As far as moving weight rearwards, the rear of the car has the smallest radius from the center of the turn, meaning the smallest moment arm to rotate the weight about. Suspension comes into play here, but in general the car will rotate more willingly if more weight is supported by the rear wheels.

I am not in actual racing competition. But OEM Battery is listed as 29.6 lbs. So it is still quite something... The other option is to retune the suspension on the car, but then I guess I'll have to buy some coilovers or shocks (which I do not have). In any case it is interesting to sort the pros and cons of doing it.


PS: Though it seems that there aren't many pros then thx for all the comments. I guess I'll leave it as it is and wait for a fine tuned suspension.

Why re tune the suspension for the battery weight? The car was designed with the battery there and no doubt the engineers that did the work took it into account. It isn't like they built the car and then went "Oh god we forgot the battery where should we shove it/"

Hi there @Tcoat. It is not for the battery weight, is for the supercharger install... I've read and seen some guys who do adjust their suspension after a FI install.

AHHHHH I see. Well that isn't really necessary either unless you are hitting the track hard. A street driven car should not be used in a manner where advanced mods are of any benefit.

If you are not racing the car, doing all this extra minuscule stuff is a waste of your money. You will not feel it outside of a competitive course. the extra load of the super charger is like putting a chick in your car. Pretty sure the stock suspension settings can handle that. you see those massive 250lb guys shoehorning themselves into the car? I really doubt those guys have to retune their suspension each time they get in.

Don't overthink it. you have a supercharger, just enjoy it.
