So Town and Country Toyota (Toyotapartsoutlet) emailed me saying my spoiler was shipped. Note the date.

Then I contacted Blake at Town and Country Toyota hoping he could get me a tracking number because it mysteriously wasn't in my e-mail. To paraphrase, he said him and his shop had nothing to do with shipping it but he gave me Young Tea's contact info. Young holds some position at 5axis that I can't recall at the moment. I tried to call Saturday with no luck but he gave me a call Monday to explain everything to me and why the spoiler was late. I felt a little better at this point. He told me to text him towards the end of the week to touch base and see if my spoiler has been shipped.

I don't want to run the risk of sound entitled to my spoiler but to be honest Blake charged my credit card rather quickly...It's been two full months since I placed my order and I have no idea what's going on with it. Apparently it exists somewhere and it's been carefully painted? How am I supposed to believe that.

The least 5axis could have done was provide expedited shipping for those of us that have been waiting over 2 months now! I'm gonna maintain my faith in them and tell myself it was shipped already. Blake at Town and Country is great but I don't see it as good business practice for him to charge my credit card when two months later I still have nothing to show for it.

I know what you guys are thinking...I need to charge my phone.

Edit: A week or two after I ordered this spoiler my friend ordered Bilstein coilovers from Japan for his Legacy. In the time that I haven't even seen my spoiler hes received his coilovers, installed them, dialed them in, and realized he didn't like them

I feel you on this one man. My spoiler showed up today. I'm going to install it on Monday. It looks and fits good. The installation kit is a bit better than the first few though. They included some adhesive promotors and guides as well.

The wait SUCKED. HARD. Like really bad. The communication is definitely an issue they're going to need to work on. That's key when you have delays like they've had. I'd say cancel your order if it's not already there yet, nor do you have any updates, and go with another option. I feel bad saying that now that I have mine, and how they went out of their way to make it up to me after I emailed their CEO about this. It shouldn't take that level of interaction to get clear communication to your customers if you experience a delay.

I know it's early in the frs/BRZ game but there's no other spoiler I like. Carsmo comes close but it looks just a bit too aftermarket for the direction I wanna go with this car. If it comes down to it I'd rather have no spoiler than give a company the idea that it's acceptable to do business like this. Id have a hard time being proud of my spoiler knowing the crap I had to pillage through to get it. Bottom line is, I don't support bad companies.

Wait I'm confused. I'm checking out your spoiler in KOP on Sunday, so it must have shipped already right? Oh I guess you ordered two of them, you have one already installed, and you're waiting on the second one.

I'm just kidding if that's not clear haha. Sucks so bad, sorry.

Let's forget about the silly spoilers and do a roadtrip to RaceComp for some suspension goodies!

So yeah. The silvers don't match all that well. I'm going to have the body shop fix that when I take it in to have the dent fixed. Apparently two extra months to match silvers didn't net any results. My best advice for anyone that wants one of their kits, get it unpainted. Then have a body shop install it right. Have them match/blend the paint properly.

I don't know if you're knowledgeable in car paints, but silver is actually the hardest color to match. I know 5:AD is working with Toyota on the color, but due to color trademarking I doubt Toyota will just give them the exact color.

I wouldn't necessarily "bash" 5:AD on their paint, it's a tough job trying to match an exact factory color with tons of orders backing up. The only other color I heard of was the Whiteout wasn't an exact match either. But again, color trademarking.

Shitty customer service aside...

It's not a matter of bashing. It's a matter of trying to aim for perfection, and going for "the best quality." I think having a body shop match to your car on the install is the key to getting it right, and that is what I was going for in my feedback above. It'll net you the closest, and best color matching result.

The more I see the lip on my car, the more I like it. It's been a few hours now, and I'm starting to get used to it.

Anyway, I'm hoping they learn from all of this, and work on their customer service skills and communication. If that had been clear, I would have no issues at all.

I have heard nothing yet

was told by Young to expect a shipping notice but nothing so far.

I am not very happy with Blake right now. I have asked on many occasions to get a receipt for the part e-mail to me so I can print in out for when I pick up the part across the boarder and still have not gotten it.

I've sent multiple PMs as well as called them a couple times and have always been told that they will send it to me but have yet to get anything from them.

Laika do you mind PM Young's number I had it saved on my phone but my contacts got messed up recently.
