Unless you have somebody to really take care of it and drive it once in a while when you are gone. I came back from deployment to car issues a couple of times and swore I would never just store one again.
Sell it, put the money in the highest interest bank account or short term investment (if brave enough) you can and buy a new one.

Sell it. Sounds like storing the car is too much of a hassle for you.
Think about it. (Assuming your making payments) you'll keep paying for a car you are not driving.

Use the money you get from selling the car to get one at your new job, then sell it when you come back home, then buy another one.

So in maybe 20 years it could be worth something. You realize how horrific an investment that is? That is about a 6% yearly return. Which is rather bad. The person would have done better selling the car a long time ago and investing the cash. Of course you are ignoring all the associated costs with maintaining a car for that length of period. The person would be extremely lucky to break even, never mind actually earn anything.

Think of it this way, all those 50's and 60's cars that are now worth something still were worth nearly nothing only 20 years ago. So people had to hang onto them 60 years before they were worth a lot of money.

And even then most are not worth the big bucks. People see one pristine fully original car for $100K and think that rotted out hulk in the back 40 must be worth at least $50K. Not the reality of collectable cars. Cars are a horrible investment and even that $100K car can drop by 75% if the desirability of that make/model/year should change. And change they do for weird and mysterious reasons.
Not to mention that newer cars last WAY longer then those from the 50s and 60s so there will be far more of them available in 20 years to start with.

If you love this car and have the financials to store it, I'd store it. You'll come back to a mint low mileage BRZ.

It's not about value or investment. It's about having something in pristine condition that you can enjoy for years and years.

Think of it this way. More and more will get crashed, riced out, abused or attain higher and higher mileage so finding good ones will get tougher and tougher.

Exactly. Personally, I don't store the car for value or investment. I just want to enjoy it for years and years. I am aware that already exist better and faster cars, but not many cars that offer pure enjoy without much intervention from electronics. The situation in the future will become even worst!

It was a cash purchase so no money owed. If it is stored it will go to a professional storage company.

I am also getting pressure from my wife that I am being silly for wanting to sell. She's not into cars but understands that I enjoy them.

Ditch the car. Save some money on storage and insurance and payment(?).

Only reason to keep it IMO, is if you have it paid off.
