you get a tax credit for trade ins? hows that work?

They subtract tax you paid. Its not really worth it.
Yes you do get tax credit but you lose $1-3k for trading in.

But you also possibly save a bunch of headache and time. Not saying I would but good to have the info that it helps balance teade in a bit more.

I would still check Carmax first though
