There are some autocross groups that require SA-rated helmets (Porsche club is one). But you can get a good one for reasonable money. Check the rules for the group you want to run with, and make sure what you buy meets their requirements.

I agree with @Decay107 and @Rio; do some online research and you should find something that meets your needs in your budget.

I have a large pyrotect open face helmet for sale if you are still looking. I got it from sidedraught city.. its a few pages back in the nw classifieds.

Even though I know they're not technically as safe, I love the kind that pop up from a full face to 3/4...Can't remember what they're called. Except pure bliss. ESPECIALLY, since I went to a motorcycle shop to look at helmets yesterday, and now Shoei has one!!! But, bike's gone now

, and pretty darn sure Snell doesn't approve of that design
