UMMMMM it would appear that YOU would be the one starting a flame war on the subject not anybody responding to your statement.

And just why would anybody that knows it is a stupid idea be a "hater" for saying so?

Have you tried it in a twin yet?

Not hating on the AT/paddle scene, but do yourself a favor and get the manual.

Why? Because you owe it to yourself to experience a manual transmission. You can always do the AT/DCT paddles in the future.

I've always owned manual sports cars. That said ... my next sports car will have DCT/paddles. I've enjoyed the manuals, but it is time to move on.

You, on the other hand, haven't experienced a manual.

Experience it. Enjoy it. Have fun with it.

God I hate all these AT vs MT threads. They are all exactly the bloody same. Only the faces change.

No, but I tried in enough of other cars to know it's good.

Because I have years of experience doing so while they have never done that or at best tried once or twice.

And I can provide (and have provided) rational arguments for superiority of left-foot braking, while they just repeat the same unfounded opinions .

I'd suggest renting a mt car ( any one) and spending a day deciding if you like manual or not. There are pluses and minuses to both transmissions. If you don't know how to drive a standard it might be a pain. Only one way to find out though. Go try it.

Not hating A/T, but I wish FRS/BRZ were make like s2000.

I think you should try both transmission first, experience it.
But if its a manual,, you wont regret it for sure.

Thats the thing about people who never driven a manual since they cant learn how to drive a manual in a day or two. If they dont have enough passion,, they will give up and go for auto transmission.
