Nah, just pick up another.
Here's a very nice low-mileage one not too far from you up in Seattle http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/cto/5657044094.html

I love S2000s, and would have gotten one over the FR-S if there'd been a good deal on one with a hardtop at the time. I didn't want to rock a convertible year round in Chicago. In retrospect, it would have been fine. I'm happy with the FR-S though, but I still plan to get an S2000 eventually.

I really like the guages and how they were implemented. Simple, clean, quality.

(*) The 1st and 2nd gears in 14R60 are longer which is correct because the final drive ratio is shorter. This gives an advantage to have a usable 1st gear. Unfortunately, in the model revision they did it wrong and kept the old gear ratios. Now the 1st gear with the shorter final drive apart from launching the car is almost useless! |

TRD 14R60 at Pikes Peak
Quote:
Or Just accept the fact they do most of the testing on an island country where you don't need power at all. Fuk most commuter car in that country has less then 70bhp OK? ...& most tracks/roads favors light nimble cars. Even GTR is limited by GPS on the road unless you are @ a track if you get them there... The fundamental concept of the car isn't to please everyone, just drop it instead of turning it into another thing ppl being talking about since 5 years ago & you know that. So this car didn't have any reason to race in Pikes Peak. Someone said that they did it to gain experience. This is not how it works in reality. You first create a car/engine that you think it will give you a good result and then you test the overall package and make adjustments. What they did is like trying to re-invent the wheel starting from ground zero. It doesn't make sense. Unless the new trend in Toyota is to have fun and finish in the last positions.

My understanding is that the main sponsor was Yokohama/ADVAN and they were testing some new DOT R-Comp tires that will be introduced soon. I couldn't find a TW rating.

This would not have surprised me in the least. Essentially parts testing over trying to score a class win against unbeatable opposition.
