Damnit. And here I thought all along it was you custom ram air set up that caused the donut and have been trying to duplicate it. I have taped three different snow shovels and a grain scoop onto intake tube and could never match it. Now I know why. That is $800 in dynos down the drain.

Dont listen to the jackwads giving you crap about wanting to add power to the car and "what this car is about".

The car is about whatever you want it to be about, do what makes you happy.

From my ownership experience I tried the NA route. You dont really make enough power given the amount of $$$$$ you put in it.
If I started over again I would go forced induction from the get go.

Yep those pretty numbers can be mighty important to some people. The dude hasn't even taken delivery yet much less know what he needs to do to make it what he wants. All he knows is that it is a "downgrade to half the HP he had".
Now if he wants to double those numbers so he can brag to his buddies then that is cool but the advice to wait and see what he really wants to do does not make anybody a "jackwad".

He was pretty much just trolling with his post anyway (he even says so).

Didnt read every post just the first two or three.

Advice is certainly fine but the second post in this thread was anything but advice and certainly "jackwad".

No offense to anyone offering solid advice and if OP was trolling then my fault for not reading all 3 pages.

Do I think anything over 200 defeats the purpose of this car? sure I do to an extent. Do i still want that 240+hp feel every now and then. ohhh yea

Based upon the initial post and the follow up I wouldn't even call that second post a "jackwad".
The OP was setting people up for that exact response. He wasn't looking for real discussion just reactions. He got them.

Off-topic on this forum is largely about banter.

Nobody was being rude; if there is nothing wrong with adding HP to the car, there is also nothing wrong with thinking it ruins the car.

I think you should go FI right away. My reasons are top secret; it's more of a vote.

Say what? It was advice. I said very clearly "drive the crap out of the car and enjoy it. It doesn't need HP."

You wouldn't recognize the jackwad staring at you from a mirror. Yeesh.

See you have to be careful what you read. When I got mine I had already picked which supercharger I was going to get to deal with the horrid lack of power I had read about. After driving it for a day I was overjoyed to realize I had just saved a sitload of cash. I fully understand that not everybody agrees but to date I have not once been in a situation where I felt I needed or wanted more power.
There is no bad reason for people to want more and people that are actually competing most certainly will need more but it is not something you will know until you actually drive it for a bit. Once you get bored or change your goals for the car then start looking to up it. Those published numbers can be very deceiving and a bit of a trap.
