I went to the dealer with getting White in mind but as I saw 4 white 86s on my way there I opted for my close second choice of Ultramarine and I couldn't be happier. I rarely see anyone with my color and it looks great under light (As all 86s do). But for your sake from how you were describing how you feel about white it seems like your pretty set on that. Go with your gut feeling. Either way you will love being behind the wheel which is the most important thing.

***Just went to the Scion site. Did the color names change for 2016? White is now Halo. Silver is Steel. Blue is Oceanic. Red is Ablaze.

Not a fan of the pearlescent effect of the white. Plus with a color like white you lose a lot of the detail in the bodywork when it is bright out. To me, white makes the car look like a funny little blob.

I typically don't like plain silver. I think it makes the car look a little cheap. The FR-S is cheap, but it is special so I think it deserves something cool. With that said, if you found yourself a Series 10 the silver is much more complex and you get a blue/ brown tint depending where you stand and the time of day/ cloudy/ etc.

Of the 2, I'd go with Argento. If the white was flat, I'd do that.

If I could do it over, I would probably have taken more time to find one in Asphalt. Instead, I walked into the dealership at 5pm and walked out at 9 pm with a Series 10. I kind of regret it because despite the complexity of the paint the car is kind of anonymous. My previous car was VW Tornado Red, so it has been an adjustment. I guess my narcissism misses the attention.

Take your time and try to see all the colors in person. Not just at night or in the morning. Do drive bys at different times of the day.

Hot Lava is a terrible color. It's like Tomato soup. It's almost as bad as "NOT" world rally blue on the BRZ. Yuck.

White! That's starting to sound racist.

If you would've told me that I would buy an orange colored car before I got mine,I would've said "you're nut's". But the way they waxed mine and the way the sun was hitting it,it just stuck out more than any other car on the entire lot.

Like I said,I would have bought the Asphalt if they had it,but this was the next best color for me.

White is nice but everyone has it, atleast on my area (socal), i will go with either asphalt cuz it makes the car kinda aggressive or red.

Every one I see has the stock wheels. I don't think it supports the color well. I'd be willing to bet with some nice aftermarket rims the color would work better.
