I absolutely dont hate the car.... I FUCKING LOVE THE CAR.... excuse the language .... but frat frome some of the fanboi appearance of the fr-s and brz has mad me release this posting... i have long and still enjoy of taking turns at 100 mph in which a corvette can only take at 125... i love the small aspect... i wasnt trying to alienate ppl until they alienated me.... SO FAST AS WELL.... damn i just wanted to state that their are other cars available and i did so aggressively and somewhat antagonistacally but honestly were all thinking itw

There is a section called frs/brz vs...... We are all aware what else is out there. But having a huge car company like toyota/subaru finally get back to CHEAP Rwd sports car is a great thing for the industry. We all have complaints because it wasnt what each one of us wanted. But this isnt a perfect worls and for the price range this car is where it should be. Also to note no price for Fr-s ... Maybe 20k than it will be the best affordable sports car out there.

WTF, happened in this thread? TougeFRS you should just buy one of those cars you mentioned and stop taking it to the heart. I understand where you are coming from and that's why the FRS is not my only choice in my next sporty DD but you need to chill out and get the car that makes you happy.

Touge, stop trolling. Don't you feel a little bit stupid re-reading all what you said?

TougeFR-S, i hope you got your frustrations out. Many of us have similar frustrations but we didn't have to vent like you did. Venting your opinions are fine, just watch your attitude towards other people.

25k is not the same 25k 4 years ago. Our USDX has gone down considerably. and whatever hope we have at getting the FRS or BRZ at a lower price range (which was to be expected initially at $20,000) is dead thanks to our economy. Meaning the next gen Miata, and the next gen Z and other Japanese next gen models in 13-14 will get bigger in price at the US dealers unless the dollar value comes up. Even if the vehicle doesn't represent the price. The Toyota/Scion IQ was delayed for US shores for this purpose.

But i get what your saying, on paper this car isn't worth 25k USD. On paper the 370z starting at 31k USD should have been amazing. After driving one..its not.

Basically at the very core, Toyota and Subaru are trying to sell you 25k worth of dreams, hopes and feelings, and emotions, not a car. Many of us coming on here values this. I know i do. But we can't quantify this experience and it makes us hard to articulate why we want this car. How do you explain your excitement over a stupid 200hp? You don't! Your excited that 200hp is just enough to make you feel something that no 500hp or 1000hp car will give you, can you dive deeper? Its hard.

If at the end of the day I come home from a work with a nice spirited drive in my BRZ or FRS with a relaxing smile..it was a good purchase for me.
If what makes me smile is beating the snot out little fanboi's and ricers on my way to and from work, there are SOO many different options of cars i could go with that would give me that enjoyment.

I hear what your saying TougeFR-S, no need to get all Hulk status on us. REEELLAXX MAN!

Soo.....why are you even here then? Did I miss something? Looks like a Troll thread that should have been ended before it got started.

I didn't realize we even need to reply to people who don't understand our convictions. Are you here to preach to everyone as if we somehow going to side with you and abandon our goals?

Normally I don't respond to these kind of threads for the obvious reason but seriously? Your friend took a 90 degree turn going 110mph in a EVO? So what is the big deal with this Vettel kid? Your friend should be able to run circles around him.

I'd really love to know where you can get a 1993 GTR for under 25K..
