You guys may not need a radio or cd player but I certainly do. I dont use an ipod, ipad, iphone, I am anti-i everything so I need some decent multimedia at least until I buy my own aftermarket sound system

Me neither, I have an HTC Inspire 4G :P Plenty of non-"i" stuff that plays music. Galaxy Tab isn't bad from what I hear. Android >>>>>>> iOS anyday. CDs are incredibly inconvenient compared to digital storage.

All(~98%) I listen to is Sports Talk Radio, but I listen to it through my phone using the IHeartRadio app on my Android phone. It links via Bluetooth in my truck and through an AUX cable in my RX.
There is no reason to have a radio nowadays, unless you can't afford a smartphone. You can get all of your local radio stations FM/AM through random Apps on your cell phones. Just as easy to use as a radio with MUCH better clarity than an AM broadcast. That combined with MicroSD cards, they can be an all in one media source. I'm all for ditching the old school radio tuners, but I highly doubt they will. Not everyone has a smartphone. |

I've seen radio antenna + charger combos that plug into your phone...
But I think smartphones have built in radio receivers nowadays. Anyhow, I think it makes sense for a car to come with a radio though, because those cost and weigh basically nothing, but not a CD player because no one uses CDs anymore. EDIT: I just checked my phone, it has FM but no AM. Probably exists an app to get AM though. |

You have to go to your local radio stations websites. They almost always have some mobile app affiliation. It's how I found out about the two I use. IHeartRadio and SportsRadioDroid.

At first I was sad when they said no CD player for the car, but I'm over it. I'll be happy with an aux in, maybe a USB port or a SD card port.
I have the app for my local radio station too to listen when I'm out of range since I drive out of it all the time, but damn if there isn't a huge delay. Can't ever call in and win stuff. |

Three Connectors: Ipod Dock, Microusb Dock, Aux.
That way we can integrate android/blackberry and iphones into the car. I hope they only use 4 high quality speakers and a decent quality amp. Disc media is dead. My phone can do everything else. Galaxy S II for life! It's bloody amazing. |

I don't think there should be platform specific docking like for an iPod or something, but if they just have something that can read USB storage that's good. And please no Bose nonsense...not too many speakers, and whatever. Normal people do not need massive speakers to blast music so loud everyone on the street can feel a sickening rumble in their gut.
