<- SWP BRZ here, I'll put some pics up once I install it. Looks like its due to arrive on Thursday. Unfortunately I am slammed this week so I hope I can sneak a time to install it.

So do I need to install the hyperflash relay once I install the tail lights? I think I saw a DIY on the forum, something thats underneath the steering wheel..?

I currently have the JDM red toms but fell in love with these as soon as I saw them. I love the red ones but I think these will look better on a SWP. You do need to instal the relay. Swapping the tail lights was the easy part. Took me about 20 minutes. Changing the relay was a pain in the a$$. Can't wait to see the pics

Do the Relay from under the Dash - the hint we tell everyone is to turn on your turn signal and then get under the dash and feel and listen for the relay - Then it can easily be removed with a flat head screwdriver.

I agree - I was a fan of the RED TOMS - But after seeing these a bit more they look good - Its just a matter of style to the owner

awesome, I will read through the DIY again when the time comes, shouldn't be too bad.. Does the relay actually make a noise when I turn the turn signal lights on?

I liked the redded out look (currently vinyl wrapped OEM tails) but the vinyl does start to peel over time, and this clear Tom's look more OEMish with a custom touch. I was contemplating buddy clubs, but looking at some "normal" photos from Sema, they don't look all that great and a lil tacky.

This is perfect for my white/black panda contrast I am doing right now, without going smoked tail lights, which I never liked.

Yes it does. It's what makes the ticking noise of your turn signal.

I found it a real PITA to remove the stock relay...my hands got nice and scratched up! But it is so worth it for TOM's lights (red or clear)

One thing you will notice with the relay, is that there is a slight delay (1 second maybe?) in your turn signals. So you get a "tiiiiiiiiick tick tick tick tick". You can buy an aftermarket relay from TapTurn that will eliminate the delay and give you some additional cool functions (tap to blink 3 times, hazard light swaying, etc.).

Good luck though! Great product, and a great vendor!!

dood, I forgot about the TapTurn, is that pretty much the same install as the relay that comes with the tail lights? Tap blink 3 times is boss.

It's exactly the same knuckle-grating install as the relay that comes with the tail lights...no getting around it unfortunately. But the TapTurn relay is totally worth it!
