I will say they do have a lot in common, right down to the color scheme on the seats. The driving experience is very similar, and the overall feel of "wearing the car" is the same, as is the roadable go-cart. Of course the MK1 MR2 was smaller, and M=mid-engine so there is that difference. I guess right now, I will commit to saying the FR-S does a good job of filling the hole left behind by the MR-2. I can easily see the MR2 needing to move over a little bit so there is room on the pedestal. |

Very true. Well. It's up to you and her as to if it's a safe idea. Best wishes and I'm looking forward to hearing your impressions after the break-in period and in the days to come. Maybe you just need sticky summer tires. They aren't on the car because it takes away from the ability to swing out the tail. 40 degrees and lower temp go with winter tires. The summers will begin to freeze below 40 = less grip.

Passenger side seat belt/airbag sensor
Here's one thing I noticed that will probably drive me nuts because I'm always hopping in the car and throwing something on the passenger seat.
The passenger side seat pressure sensor for the seat belt alert/air bag on/off is very sensitive. My camera bag (which I weighed after is less than 3 lbs) set it off. It took me a while to figure out what the heck the "chirping alert" was. It does eventually stop after what seemed like an eternity but was probably 15 to 30 seconds. It was very distracting though since I wasn't expecting it to go off when I threw the bag on the seat. By the way, taking the bag off the seat didn't seem to make it go away. I'll have to try that again to see if it does. Much later update: Turns out it wasn't my camera bag, but my phone as others have mentioned, which is why when I moved the bag it didn't stop. Never even occurred to me it could be the phone. Last edited by Dadhawk; 10-23-2012 at 09:03 PM. Reason: Add phone note |

I cut a few pieces of plastic the shape of the seat belt tab for this issue on my tundra... Also handy for when you don't want to put your seat belt on.

I have a question for you Dadhawk? How smooth is the engine? I drive a rsx and the i4 is kinda on the rough side that it makes me not want to rev. I hope the f4 is smooth like a i6/v8.

It's not what I would classify as rough, but it definitely has retained some of the boxer characteristics. A buddy of mine who is a long-time Subaru fan started it up and said, "Yep, there's that sound I love".
