Yeah I didn't mean to make it seem like it's expensive for entry...it's just when you get bit...well it can get pricey...

Fun collection! We play in the dirt a little as well... I got a tiny indoor helicopter as a gift... it's a lot of fun. But I'm sticking with cars for now. |

Speaking of 40+mph RC cars, here's a video for anybody who wants to see what a race looks like.
Just watch how they sprint down the straightaway. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nYiIgDg0fd4"]Open Modified Touring Car A-Main - 2012 Canadian Onroad Nationals - YouTube[/ame] |

What kind of heli did you get I have a little opposed rotor one thats 4 channel...I'll have to look at it when I get home. Its a blast once you get used to it and switch to high rate, been seriously considering a 3D heli but am a little worried that I'll destroy it first time I try to fly it...
Also your outdoor track looks so nice compared to the desert clay/sand we have here in Phoenix :-) |

Not saying it can't be done, but I would bet that if you tried on pavement it would do nothing but spin. If I get my drift car up to about half speed and either floor it, or try to turn it just slides all over the place.

This is way too cool! I have to get one to add to my RC collection. I'm into RC gas and fast electric boats and can't wait to get one of these. One of the best things about the FR-S is I can put my 60" MTI Cat in it.

I forgot what my on road car was.. But I raced B3 and XXX buggies off road for a bit.. On road was just to fast for me lol.. As you can see in the video, quick quick reflexes are needed.. One of my favorite rc trucks was my T-MAXX I probably had 5k I to it total.. And then went to a revo which I loved.. I've been looking into getting a FRS drift car... But I know me... Me and rc.. Well If I get the bug again, not another part would be bought for the real FRS.. I spend way to much on rc stuff.. At one time I had more into my rc cars then I did in my GSX eclipse lol

I wouldnt mind building a RWD drift setup...I really like how they try to make them as realistic as possible with full interiors, working lights, etc. I think it would be fun, and way way way cheaper than going the full on touring car route...my TC6.1 is just under $1200, and I'm using a class restricted motor, with something a bit hotter I could easily break into the 50+ mph arena. I still have to adjust my brakes on my TC6.1 though. My SC10 4x4 is about $1500 and is pretty much overkill at the tracks around here, it's almost too fast, but at the dirt bike tracks its a riot. I also have an Associated B44.1 Factory which is my current favorite, I've always had a soft spot for 4WD buggies and this one is pretty much the best money can buy. It flies really well, love how you can actually adjust the car mid air to land smoothly every time...it takes a bit of practice but man the first time you stick a landing perfect all you want to do is jump and shout Hell Yeah! The short course trucks are also pretty reactive in flight but not like the B44.1.

Remember when a hot 21T brushed motor made for intense 3 minute sessions? NiCad packs getting up to temperature and feeling strong only to begin dumping power and coming to a crawl toward the end of the run? "The good old days." |

No kidding I remember my first actual RC car was a Team Losi XX buggy, had a Novak Rooster in it and a reedy modified motor. Also back then 1500Mah batteries were a big deal. |
