Looks like they're getting over 10 psi. How high you want to go?
Here's an article on a completely different way to go. https://www.jdpower.com/cars/shoppin...-a-jeep-or-ram |

That is pretty impressive.
I honestly don't need to go any higher. Now that the tune is getting dialed in it is pulling even harder. I let someone drive it who daily drives a V8 Durango with 400ft/lbs, and he said that my car has crazy torque and feels very fast. I have also let multiple other people drive the car and taken a few passengers. They normally say that it feels twice as fast as a stock frs. Obviously, it's not but having so much instant torque makes this car completely different. It puts you back in your seat at 2krpm in 3rd instead of lugging like crazy. I think that if I were to go up higher in boost I would only bring it in up top to not shred my tranny. It feels fast and that's all I care about since I'm not racing. |

Wait until your first 50 degree morning. You'll really be blown away. I think an ESC is by far the best way to gain real power with this motor. Since I got my Phantom many moons ago, I pretty much never go over 5000 RPM's. There's no need to because that's where the power starts to drop. It's completely the opposite of running without it. Without the ESC your power range is pretty much between 5K and redline. To me what it feels like is a v8 with automatic transmission. When you floor it it feels like the trans downshifting because the RPM's increase immediately, even though you're in the same gear.
Without the ESC, when you floor it, and it just makes more noise. I hate driving this car without it. Out of curiosity, how does the Torqamp compare to the NOS? I'll bet it's at least equal to it and never needs to be refilled. |

This is really interesting - my 2nd Gen is still under warranty so I'm not champing at the bit to throw FI on it but I'm following the development of various options with great interest.
What seems particularly good about this option is the variability. Just driving around town keep it at low-to-no boost, but find some nice twisties or other enthusiasm-related driving opportunity and dial it up. Which leads to my question: how "dialable" is it? Would this be the sort of thing where it's just an on/off switch or could you have various stages between as well? The downside it would seem is the batteries - while it's never great to add a bunch of weight to your car, mounting them in the back could balance out the weight distribution well enough to make it more palatable. What kind of weight are we talking about for the battery pack, anyway? |

I really only feel the power drop off over 6500. So that's where I have been shifting. Can't wait for the cooler weather.
It feels 1.5 times as strong as the 50 shot of nitrous until it falls off. The nitrous just keeps pulling through the rpms and feels very fast up top. I don't know of any way to turn down the boost on a dial from the inside of the car. But you could for example use the control box to only have 2psi of boost under 97% throttle and then full boost at foot to the floor. To make that adjustment you would just turn the potentiometer in the control box. I have mine set to 40% boost at 75% throttle and then it ramps up exponentially to 100%. If you really wanted a dial, I bet they would be able to either tell you how to install one or supply you with one for a fee as I saw that they had one in the Cleetus video (Test version). I just realized that what I needed to do is ramp in the nitrous around 4700-5000 rpm. It took me 15 seconds to adjust it and it will (hopefully) save me from killing the rods with too much low end torque while giving me even more power and torque up top. It is pretty wild to have so much power from pushing two switches.

I was going to suggest the same thing. Get the right combo of ESC and NOS and you're going to have a torque monster. Ready for drag slicks? |

Yes! I am thinking about reducing the nitrous shot to keep it reliable as I have daily driven the car for the past 7 years. It has probably seen 2,000 redlines, and 200 pounds of nitrous. No problems, but the trans can be difficult to get into gear sometimes.

I'm really interested in your NOS setup. How does it work? Do you have a button you push on the steering wheel or what? And how does it spray? What I'm thinking is that if you spray the nitrous into the air filter box, in addition to supplying additional oxygen, you'll also be cooling the compressed air. |

Also, if I shift at 6500 that means I hit 4.4 pounds of boost at 5k so not too shabby. |
