I'm looking forward to the next lineup:

Why was the Exige dropped? I know it changed from 2ZZ-GE 4banger to the 2GR V6 at some point and got fatter because of it....(maybe it was cuz of the end of the 2zz production run?) And didnt know why the Exige V6 never came to North America. Maybe it was too similar to a stripped down Evora?

Safety standards. The Lotus Elise and Exige originally got safety standards exemptions for bumpers and airbags, because they were such a small company. The exemptions were not renewed. Production of North American version of Exige ended in August 2011 after the expiration of "smart" airbags exemption.

Please don't remind me of the time I realized I'm 3x fatter than I consider myself.

Getting in and out of that Exige was almost hell. I think I still have aches from it.

Somehow I lost all the pics from that trip except for the two posted here.

HEY! I resemble that remark!

I sat in a Lotus once... Cool car, but obviously not a daily for me.

Probably. I’m 5’8 155lbs, so I would be fine in an Exige, but most buyers of a new Elise/Exige would have problems. If half of the people here are overweight, middle-aged men then the target demographic for the Lotus is probably 75%+ overweight and pushing 65+.

I rode around what seemed like half of California in Ho's (the one in the pics above). Riding was fine but getting in and out was entertaining.
