If it starts at 25K, I would rather get a 370Z base. I think the salesman was not sure about the price and just guessed.

Ya 25k just sounds like he was just trying to throw a number out there. Also I think not offering an auto wouldn't hurt it much if at all. Just look at the STI's, they have always only had manual and that hasn't hurt them one bit! Now I know it will have less power and be RWD, but still I don't think it would hurt to be manual only. Good car for those secretaries to learn how to drive manual on!!

He sounded pretty confident saying it. Like subaru set a goal to have the base cost under $25k, and theyre balancing standard features to come under that budget. That's my guess. It may be a premium/sport edition that he was talking about as well.

Hmm... if it was based at 19k What is everyone going to get with the car? Lets say it's "limited" 21k, and "STI" at 23k. No one is going to get like.. a freaking canoe rack ontop of their car are they? lol

If the Subaru came with a 3.0 liter flat 6 I wouldn't mind the 25k base.

Think there will be a swap for a inline 6? Or anyway to do it?

I'm with you...something always leaks out of these types of meetings. Back when the 370Z was coming out we got a clear picture of a slide show that had the front end, boomerang headlights and all, from a dealer only preview and the interwebs were like no way that's real, but look how that turned out.

Even if Subaru had Nazi-like gestapo security and nobody was able to sneak any pics:

Could one of you who went to the meeting, or knows someone who did, please get in touch with WingsOfWar and describe in detail what you saw so that we can get WOW to do one of his awesome photoshops?

I promise you can stay annonymous

Let's make this happen people

Wrong forum. You will most likely have to go over to a Subaru heavy forum like NASIOC or legacygt. It was a dealer only event and those people are tight lipped. It was hard enough for me to get any info out of my local guy. Imagine trying to get it from a random guy online who doesn't know if you work for Subaru or not.

^Depending on the power I'd pay $4000-5000 extra for a turbo. But it would have to be at least 275hp (though again the power requested is dependent on the curb weight).
