God of War tomorrow…. Pumped. Also found out that Hozier was involved with the original soundtrack. If you are unfamiliar with him, dude is extremely talented, with an amazing voice.

2 hours into God of War: Ragnarok.


As the 2018 one, beautiful. Im playing on a PS4 pro, enabled HDR, on a 4K monitor, and high quality settings. It doesn't feel like I'm using a PS4.



The game picks up where you left off, and if you recently did a quick refresher from the 2018 one, the fighting on the new one doesn't get too confusing and you're able to dispatch enemies easily.



The armor and weapons menu changed a bit, so did the level up system. Each enemy kill or use of special ability adds XP, and levels up certain skills.



So far I'm loving it, except for the first few minutes, once you pay it you'll understand, nothing against the game, is just a story event.

Not too impressed with GoW so far. Doesn't mean it's bad, its just.. same as before.

I'm on an ancient AB350 motherboard and it handled a 5600X upgrade very well. The Ryzen 5600X is very good. I've actually been doing workstation (compiling, production) stuff with it and can't believe how I ever got by on the original Ryzen 1600. Games run at a nice 100+ fps now.




One thing that took me back was the Ryzen 5600X shipped with an OEM "Stealth" Cooler that was half the size of my original Ryzen 1600 heatsink. Turns out the 5600X is quite thermal efficient.

I have no idea who Lex Fridman is and I've not seen any of his videos prior to this one. Having said that I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this.

He teaches at MIT and studies AI. I love his podcast, one of my favorites.

70 minutes in.
There is an occasional slide show but for the most part runs well. I haven't touched video settings.

The graphics/art work are very good but so far there is absolutely nothing that hasn't been seen before. It is, so far, very much a corridor shooter minus the shooting. It has been all melee so far.
It is early minutes but I can't get rid of this feeling of disappointment.

I shall continue.

Picked up the game Guts and Glory and I'm surprised how entertaining it is

48 Hours into GOW: Raganarok. Finished the campaign, and about 97% across the board on side quest/items completion. Great game, which I'm absolutely going to get for my PC once they port it.



It is the same thing as the last one in the sense of story continuation, slightly same combat system, but with so much more content, and more depth into the characters.



For those who are thinking about getting it, I highly recommend sticking with the Lunda Armor the whole way trough, poison damage is a game changer and can come in very handy when fighting Berserkers or even main villains.

14 hours of The Callisto Protocol.
The art work is awesome. One of the best I remember seeing. That's about all I can say positively.
The melee is clunky; the fighting animation has to finish before you can do anything else.
Speaking of animations, one often has to shimmy through tight spaces. There is a noticeable delay after the animation finishes before one can do anything else.
The weapon swap is slow.
Sometimes one can't run away from an enemy to reload.
Manual saves only save at the most recent check point.
Death scene animations can be way too long. Yeah, I know I've died, can I please continue?
There is no replay value. This isn't a bad thing in itself if the game was actually worthwhile.
Similar to the last point, I have no qualms paying full price when a game is worth it. This is not one of those games.
Some keys I like to use can't be bound.
That will do for now.
