If you rip off some of the cancerous growths on the snorkel, it goes back in quite easy.

Glad I didn't remove snorkel on mine to begin with. Thought I read somewhere stock intake without snorkel = Less Power

Having said that, I'll be ripping it out when I install my AFE

Any recommendations of when to get the tune done. My car is brand spanking new, so I'm not sure if it's better to tune now, or 2500/5000km? Was thinking of ironing the bugs out first, but if there are better gains to be had by running it in with a tune, I'm happy to oblige
I have been waiting about 3 wks plus for the E85 but John tells me that Ecu-tek are ironing out a couple of bugs so I should get it before long. I'm running 1.08 at the moment and am more than happy with it and based on some of the comments above the 1.09 is even better.

I was going to hold off on the tune but put it on at around 1000km's and it makes a bid difference, especially low down, so if I were you I would buy it now and enjoy it! It's a pity you aren't up in Qld or you could have a run in mine to see what you are missing.

Good luck with it and for now until the ticket is sorted I would just PM John and he'll get back to you.

Thanks, guys. I'll send payment over in the morning -- giving John one more day to give me some direction.

One thing to understand is this guy is busy. His tune is good though just have to wait a bit for it. Also if he doesn't have the cable's in stock you have to wait for those too.

Sounds like it's about a two back log but we'll have to wait and see what he says.

I have his pump gas tune ... def okay with that for now. I don't mind waiting because John's stuff is the bee's knees.

It's the holiday season, too. I ain't even mad.

Totally agree man. A really talented tuner is going to be busy and this is the guy you want for this car imo... obviosly many people agree. After enjoying his tune I'm extremely glad I went with him and my wait on ticket has been more than reasonable. I love my car all over again

Thanks for that, so thats pump-gas 1.08 your running then?

Yeah looking forward to it. I might also buy a flex fuel sensor since john looks like he might be going that way with his tuning.

Anyone know what sensor john is using?

I'd wait to hear the specifics from John. Guessing would be risky at this point. I know he'll be selling a kit.
