I'm new here, but I don't own an frs/brz quite yet.. I just thought it would be useful to start my research/familiarizing myself with the car sooner than later. 2 years left to pay off my Chevy cruze then ill be saving up for a decent down payment on whichever model seems more appealing when the time comes. I've had my share of integra gsr's and a grand prix gt, but nothing sporty in rwd yet. Can't wait to see what happens to these cars production wise over the next few years.. I'm off to lurk the forums some more.

Hey everyone - my name is Ryan from Lewes, Delaware. I've enjoyed building cars in the past (RSX, Evo, S2000, NSX, Z06, etc), but pretty much stopped modding when I bought a 2009 GTR new just over 5 years ago (the extent of my mods on that were an AccessPort, clear front side marker lenses and wrapping the roof).

I sold the GTR to a friend this weekend to free up some capital for a new business venture, and picked up a 2013 FR-S 10 Series (6AT) so I can have something other than my F150 to drive around. Unfortunately, it was like giving me a blank canvas, so I've got tons of parts inbound. The wife backs me tearing into it 100% - she and I were building our own cars in our garage 10 years ago before our daughter came along. I believe her words were something like "pull off those stupid badges and put some proper JDM ones on"...

I wavered on the AT - but really, I'm not going to take it to the track. I have more laps around tracks on the east coast on a bike than most, and I know my weakness - a MT would lead to a track day, and that would lead to a black hole forming in my checking account.

Looking forward to playing in the garage!

Im going to put down my order for a Toyota GT86, in february 2014!

With some TRD parts ofc, like the body kit and some other stuff, but not the brake kit becouse of the idiotic prize..

All I can say is that I envy you guys in the USA, after I am going to pay about 100k dollars, for my GT86 with the TRD parts here in Norway..

But I can't wait to get my GT86 thou

UGH - if that were the case here ..... I wouldn't have one in the garage ...... I'd still be riding my Honda CT 90.
