Could be worse. You could have Comcast.

Well, bullshit. My internet is the same, and my tv has gone out 3 times today, about 5 times in a week, and freezes constantly The first 2 times today I unplugging it and rebooting has worked, till now. I've done the non disaster recovery procedure about 4 times, then the disaster recovery twice now with no luck. The screen has a red x with the number 8 under it. There support site says basically I'm fucked.

I'm so firing at&t.
Fuck AT&T. They baited me with that same promise of "oh, looks like your home is in the area that we just laid fiber optic in" so I signed up. Turns out fiber optic is just laid to the main Street in my neighborhood into a switch box which is still old copper to my house, so any speed improvement isn't really seen on my end. When I tried to cancel, turns out Ive been signed up by the m'fer operator for a year contract so I would have to pay a cancellation fee. Stuck it out for the year and switched back to Comcast. I've never felt so dirty...

Damn, what model 911? how much is the offer? (PM me if you'd like). I've been shopping for an air cooled 911 for a while now and have been consistently getting my heart crushed. Seems to me that values have sky rocketed to ridiculous levels the last couple of years, just like the bay area housing market. Not looking for a super clean example, just a fun car to work on over time and to keep around in the family for a while.

You're probably right. Reminds me of a story about my last Civic.

It was a 1984 and one of those cars that was passed around the family. It had 350,000 miles. It was originally my mom's, then she gave it to my older brother who had it for years, then he gave it to me for the last 2 years of its life.

The car never died. I went to have it smogged. The idle solenoid on the carburetor wasn't working well that day, so it couldn't do the idle test, but was badly failing every other smog check, so it had an incomplete test. The car had a blue book of about $5 and it needed a $1000 carburetor and a ring and valve job to pass. I filled out and filed all the paperwork to sell it to the state with their gross polluter buy back program for $1000.

My application was rejected. To qualify you needed a failed smog, not incomplete. I took it back to the station and told the guy I needed a failed test. He was doing the test with the same result; it wouldn't idle down low enough. I told him to pull a plug wire. He said he couldn't do that. When he wasn't looking i pulled one wire and bingo, it ran like shit and the RPM dropped enough for the computer to complete the failed test.

I resent the application with my failed smog, and a week later drove it down to the pick-n-pull and walked out with a $1000 check.

The funny thing is the Civic was still getting 25 mpg.

Hard to kill a civic.

The leather on the factory reccaro sport seats and the dash needs replacing, and I still have my driver door latch problem that just popped up a couple weeks ago. Other than that she is in good shape. 121k total miles, about 70k on this very strong motor, and about 3k miles since new clutch and complete tranny rebuild.

911SC? Ya, type of car I'm looking around for. Don't mind a rough interior/exterior as long as its in good running condition.
