Listen to that engine! WOW! And look at the size of those rear tires! They're so wide! WOW! OMG! Look at how high that wing is! +100 hp for that! WOW! they must really be struggling to get some downforce on that 4 cylinder beast!

Again, I've said this before, you're all associating looks with power.

I tend to be a bit less biased, and judge an looks alone.

Just because an ugly feature was stuck on a super car, doesn't mean I'm going to start finding it attractive. To the average person though, they will.

Put triple centered exhausts on a Corolla and tell me it isn't ugly.

I think you have to take into account the overall design. I personally think the LFA's center exhaust looks relatively at home with the rear end. However I don't like the Porsche center exhausts :/ Lotus center exhaust is ugly too.

This is true. The LFA isn't as bad since the rear is designed with it in mind.

I like the centered dual exhaust tips on the MiniCooper S's and that thing doesn't have huge power. But then again, it's just my opinion. Does that make me an above-average person, too?

As for the Blisteins, of course we'd all hope and want them on this car, but price would probably jump? It has been mentioned that Toyota is trying out many different suspension parts for the test drives, but I highly doubt Blisteins will come on this car stock.

Side Note: Frame-less windows, anyone?

Looks good. Tail lights are ghastly but everything else looks quite promising.
Ditto on a wing delete

Of course the twin exit looks great but just like they did with the IS-F Toyota seem to be putting another 'Performance' car out there with a visually 'fake' exhaust system

This is just adding unneccecary weight to the car.....and this just doesnt fit with Toyota trying to make the car as light as possible. A single tip was enough as standard on my 326bhp UK Spec Supra Twin Turbo and a single exhaust is enough for my 330bhp GT-Four so why the hell do i need a twin exit on a little 2litre nasp!? Come on Toyota stop messing about! I promise i'll buy the car with a single exhaust tip! But i cant promise i'll buy it if it weighs as much as the moon!

If thats the way my car is delivered then the stock exhaust will be pulled off and replaced with something decent withing the first 24hrs of owning it!
lol. N00bish of you.

Mr2 exhaust.

And FYI, the IS F really DOES have 4 exhaust outlets. No room for critique.

as seen in testing

No different than say a BMW M3.

What the... N00bish!? How dare you! lol

FYI The visual tips on the back of an IS-F are plastic and fake. The 'real' exhaust tips sit behind these.... so i would suggest you're the noob lol

Unless you guys in the US have a different exhaust set on your IS-F's?

Also the MR2 twin exit exhausts (especially on the turbo) are not as good performance wise as the single exit systems like the Blitz Nur Spec R for example.

If there is one thing i know about, its exhaust systems and Toyota engines.

But that might not be because it's dual vs. single tip, the single exit systems could've been designed for better flow from the start.

I know, Doesn't matter. Bugatti, Lambo, Audi (on the R8 no less), Ferrari all do the same thing. It has 4 real exhaust outlets, who cares if it's got a shiny tip over them? It's a bullshit excuse that naysayers use to hate on the IS F for being so damn good the first time out. Don't encourage em.

p.s. They are not plastic, and with respect to the MR2, never said that stock was the better setup... just that it exists... stock... already. Nothing "fake" about it.

p.p.s. I'm not a yank. You wank... er

Seeing as you posted the picture of the aftermarket MR2 exhaust i assumed you were trying to say that an aftermarket twin exit is fine - which it is (i never mentioned a stock twin exit either), but going by the picture of the twin exit on the bottom of the FT86 its not designed for performance like that MR2 system. Only for looks which doesnt interest me.

I dont hate the IS-F for having fake plastic tips (although its a damn good reason to hate it) and i dont like the Veyron, the current Lambos/Ferrari's and Audi's (Especially the R8). I dont like the IS-F as its overweight, rubbish to drive compared to the M3/RS4 and a bit vulgar.

Apologies for simply assuming you are American but you dont list your location and i believe this originated as an American forum.
