Its just that they are called header-backs, cat-backs, or axle-backs pretty self explanatory. Not trying to bust your chops but just seemed like a troll

True story! I was going to reply and saw you already got to it. Also, the 'hot' oil coming into the head isn't doing any lubrication but simply draining back. So you could also argue that it's giving the oil more time to de-aerate.

That is one part that customers should not want to skimp on. A failed return pump can become a pricey repair in a hurry.

I haven't done more than my fair share of Subaru wrenching, they're usually good for 200k or so before they start really degrading (assuming some idiot wasn't tuning the car or the lack there of).

Really like what you have going and your methods behind decisions. However, those of us in tidal areas, do get large puddles/flooding frequently, so I can understand their concern. I imagine a good heat shield would cover splashes and do it's job as a heat shield. Win-win.

To other Houstonians - any of you Norwegian and just bought a blue BRZ?

Jesus, er I mean Don, the setup looks great though! Thanks for your hard work on this.

From what I was told at the dealer, this Norwegian guy will be taking the Blue BRZ to Norway. Before I bought my DGM BRZ, I was hoping this guy would back out so that I could buy it, but the sales person mentioned that the car was already paid for before it arrived...

Wow, small world. I actually grew up in Olmsted Falls, right in the Plum Creek development off of Sprague Road. Now i live in Cleveland Heights. I go to school at John Carroll University and I'm a senior so I'm living off campus.

I still vote he comes out this way with the car! haha. My dad would LOVE to see it.

Yep, I know the guy through friends that were staying with him.

So, how difficult will the installation be on this turbo setup? Something a local mod shop could install, along with your tuning? Or will we need to make a trip up north? Everything looks straight forward from my view, I just don't have a car lift.

If you're near Houston, shoot me a PM when you need access to a lift. I'm a member of a car club in Alvin and we have a pretty nice 4-post lift. Feels like I have one of the cars up on the thing at least once a week.

San Diego would make a MUCH better maiden voyage...

I'll even lend you my house for a while for a free turbo kit.
