I have used the stuff extensively on many brands of tires and have worn the treads out before there was even the slightest indication of damage to the sidewalls.
totaled

My team was supposed to move to another floor of the building while I was away on vacation so, on my last day, I packed up everything.

I came back this morning and walked around the second floor. Nothing.

Walked down to my old section of the cube farm to find out the move was delayed a week.

Yay. :/

No, I've never rubbed lamp black or coal oil onto anything. I don't even know what those are. They sound like old timey toxic shit.

Just looked through the weekly recall email from the DOT today. Another round of "Passenger Frontal Air Bag Inflator May Explode" recalls, covering everything from McLarens to Teslas to Subarus to Freightliners.

The Twins didn't make the list this time but just about every other model of Subaru between 2009 and 2013 did as well as many models of Toyota/Lexus/Scion.

I'd post the whole list but it's pretty much inreadable when you post it in from the email.

Al Jolson used lamp black but not on tires.

Welp, allow the internet to learn ya something about lamp black (carbon black) and tires:

https://www.quora.com/Why-are-the-ty...t-be-any-other

The coal oil (kerosene) was just used as a carrier/penetrate.
