I'm not smoking anything. The dip is still there. Just smaller and moved left. Just like I said in that post. Was my post too long for you to have good reading comprehension or were you smoking something?

with regards to the tune

"We will have a tune available in the next 2-3 weeks hopefully, but it will be in the form of an ECUtek tune that is locked to the car, but hopefully we are able to have it be open for modification at the end user level in case you want to have a tuner tweak any settings."

So basemap from the manufacturer but unlocked for a local dyno fine tuning. Call me old fashioned but this is the right way to do things, expensive but right.

Did anybody have any fitment issues? I noticed with mine that the header isn't completely flat on the block side. When torquing it down, the 2 sides would fight each other until it bent and flattened out. I ended up using a small impact to get the flanges to touch and then torqued it to specs since originally it was leaking.

Also @Ryan@Nameless, I have your header and over/front pipe and the overpipe section is extremely close to the block like less than 1/8 inch away. I've adjusted the bolt on the tranny mount to its lowest setting and it rattles under heavy load.

Just letting you know in case your jig is a little off before you start your next batch..

I have the header and 2.5dp and I have much more than 1/8 inch, didn't have issues with the flange either.

Just a very tight fit between the crank pulley and fan

Getting it tuned on Friday. No baseline info though.

I think if you stack a few more sets of wheels an tires in the garage the last bit of rasp will go away lol...

Seriously though, it doesn't sound bad at all. If you can bring the other midpipe with you and swap it over for a pull after the tune is done... I'm sure the community would be greatful and it would provide a very useful data point.

Back when my car was stock, it would run 13.2:1 through the midrange on the stock tune with IAM set to 1.0 and fuel trims zeroed out. Saw this many times. It did not start trending rich until after 6k.

So how would leaning out the car with an intake make more power? I thought the car would start pulling timing North of 13:1 under high load.

Was the 6k rpm enrichment drastic?

If the dip was shifted it would be of similar rpm range. Header's do not really shift power. That's usually something an intake manifold would do as you tune the resonance and harmonic benefits of it.

As far as if a tune is rich or lean, most stock tunes run, generally, on the rich side. Some cars might run differently than others, but there's a variety of reasons for it, usually engine longevity and catalytic converter life.

They might run relatively leaner in the midrange and richen up the last 1000 to 1500 rpms. Safe afr's for all motor (not a true rule of thumb but this motor, but moreover a rule of thumb for engines in general) are between 12.5 and 13.2 at WOT. Some engines lean towards the 12.5 side to make power, while others make more and more as you lean them out past 12.8:1.

Still waiting to see some dyno's from someone in here

So you dont think headers can shifter the peaks or valleys of power in the rpm range? Interesting theory.
